On the 29th of December 56 International friends of Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar, joined an evening coach excursion to Malaga to see the Christmas lights and visit the beautiful nativities set in different religious and public buildings, such as the Town Hall and Cathedral and join in the celebrations.

On arrival they were just in time to view the sound and light spectacular including excerpts from popular songs, which took place in the Larios, after which there was free time to stroll through the streets admiring the other lights, listen to the Municipal brass band on the steps outside the Cathedral playing carols and other music and the young dance and acrobatic troupe performing in the Plaza de la Constitution. There was also time for dinner and refreshments, which some enjoyed on the balcony of the 15th floor of the Malaga Palacio Hotel admiring the flood lights of the harbour, Cathedral, La Alcazaba and big wheel.
The friends then re-joined the coach for the final fun of the evening, a visit to the “La Mosca” area, situated on the outskirts of Malaga, to see the famous, unique Belen built into the mountain side, approximately 20 metres in length.  Here, in the car park the friends were treated to a glass of Cava, generously provided by the efficient and friendly Pareja coach company, before the homeward journey, a perfect end to a most enjoyable evening! Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar would like to thank all the friends who supported the excursion, which enables the centre to continue with its Charitable Work and we look forward to seeing you all again at future events and coach excursions.
