Trip sponsored by Grupo ASV

On the 14th of March friends of Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar joined a coach excursion sponsored by Grupo ASV (Funeral Directors) accompanied by 2 of their employees José Antonio Saldaño and José Lopez.

The excursion was due to start at the English Cemetery, but due to the very wet inclement weather, it was decided to make the first stop the Maria Zambrano shopping Centre attached to the Malaga train station.  Here there was time to take refreshments and browse the many shops.
The group then joined the coach for the short drive into the countryside to the village of Moclinejo situated above Rincon de La Victoria to visit the famous Bodega Dimobe founded by Juan Mundoz Nauarrote in 1927.  Here they were given a guided tour by Ignacio, the Commercial Manager, who explained the method of making and storage of the wine. The friends sampled a dry white wine and a red wine directly from the barrel. There was also time to visit the very interesting museum where on display were many artefacts that were used in the original wine making process and purchase items from the wine shop.
After the visit the friends re-joined the coach for the drive back down to the coast to Rincon de La Victoria for a delicious lunch at the ´La Reservado´ restaurant which was kindly paid for by the Grupo ASV. It was agreed that the excursion had been a great success even though it rained all day and there was an extra surprise at the end of the day as each person was given a carrier bag of goodies from the Group.  Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar would like to thank all the friends who supported the excursion and look forward to seeing you at the Centre at their coming events, or on future excursions.
