On the 2nd of February friends of Lux Mundi, Torre del Mar came to the Centre to listen to a power point presentation by Peter Cadman on the constellations, myths and monsters.
After enjoying a pre welcome drink, the group heard how the earliest direct evidence of the constellations came from Mesopotamia (within modern Iraq) dating back to 3000BC and how future constellations were named by the Greeks and Romans and the myths continued. Gloria, the administrator thanked Peter for his excellent presentation and there then followed a delicious supper of salad, homemade cottage pie and flan with strawberries.
